1. Free version beforehand
Before paying, you can download and use FanFan Control free of charge, with no time limit. The free version includes full temperature and fan monitoring along with manual speed control, so you can check on your own Mac that the application is compatible with your machine and can control its fans, before committing to anything. The automation features require a Pro license.
2. 14-day money-back guarantee
Regardless of what digital-content regulations require, the owner voluntarily offers a 100% money-back guarantee during the 14 calendar days following your purchase, with no need to state a reason.
To request it, simply send an email to soporte@fanfancontrol.com stating the email address used for the purchase. No form needs to be filled out.
3. Statutory right of withdrawal
As a consumer, Article 102 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU) grants you a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts.
For digital content supplied immediately, Article 103(m) allows that right to lapse once performance has begun with the consumer's express consent and their acknowledgment that they lose the right. The owner waives reliance on that exception and applies the 14-day money-back guarantee described above in every case, so your right to get your money back is not limited by having activated or used the license.
4. Timing and method of refund
- Requests are answered within 72 hours at most.
- The refund is processed through Stripe to the same payment method used for the purchase, at no cost to the user.
- Once issued, the refund typically appears in the account or card within 5 to 10 business days, depending on the issuing bank.
- The full amount is refunded, taxes included.
5. Effects of the refund
Once the refund is issued, the associated license is annulled: the key stops being valid and will no longer unlock the Pro features in versions of the application released from that moment on.
To be precise about the scope: because the license is verified locally and there is no online license check —see the privacy policy— the annulment does not take immediate effect on an already installed copy; it takes effect when that copy is updated to a later version, whether because the application announces one or because the user downloads it. For that reason, the user agrees to stop using the Pro features and to uninstall the application from their devices as soon as the refund is received.
6. After the 14 days
Once that period has passed, the voluntary money-back guarantee no longer applies. However, your statutory right to make a claim if the application shows a lack of conformity — that is, if it doesn't work as described — remains in effect, under Section 7 of the terms of sale. In that case, we will try to fix the problem and, if that isn't possible, issue a refund.
